Local Health Campaign to Host NHS General Election Debate in Marginal Constituency of Loughborough

By Save Our NHS Leicestershire
December 3, 2019

A Leicestershire-based campaign group is holding an election debate in Loughborough this Saturday to discuss the future of the NHS.

Save Our NHS Leicestershire has invited all the main parliamentary candidates standing in Loughborough to speak at the event ahead of the General Election on December 12.

Tom Barker, Secretary of Save Our NHS Leicestershire, said:

“Polls show that the future of the NHS ranks very high amongst people’s concerns going into this General Election, some placing up it at the top.

“This is hardly surprising. Health provision in the region has been under immense strain for some time.

“Save Our NHS Leicestershire is not a politically partisan organisation and does not back candidates or parties standing in the election, but we think it is important that the public has an opportunity to hear their parliamentary candidates’ views on the NHS and how they think our future health care should be organised and funded.”

The hustings will be held on Saturday 7th December from 1:30pm til 3pm at Fearon Hall on Rectory Road, LE111PL. Attendees should arrive at 1:15 for a prompt start:
