Public Meeting on Saturday March 4: NHS Under Pressure – How Can We Fix It For Staff and Patients?

Ten years of underfunding have done untold damage to the NHS:
- Shortages of hospital beds and diagnostic equipment
- Run-down facilities, a massive backlog of repairs and broken promises about building “new hospitals”
- Unacceptable delays in getting to see a GP
- Hours to wait for an ambulance because there are too few beds and too little in social care, creating a bottleneck in A&E
- Lengthy delays for patients on waiting lists
- Staff driven to strike action over stressful, under-resourced working conditions and years of real terms pay cuts
Come to a public meeting to hear NHS staff describing what it is like to work in the health service at the moment and why they think patients are suffering. Find out more about why and how these problems have accumulated and what we can do to pressure the government into taking effective action:
